GEOFF TATE To Host 'Insania' Wine Tasting And Signing In Akron

October 15, 2012

QUEENSRŸCHE singer Geoff Tate will host a signing and tasting of his Insania wine at Silver Spirits in Akron, Ohio on October 29 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Come down, taste Geoff's wine and get your bottle signed.

Insania (a Latin word meaning insanity, irrationality, madness) has become a labor of love for Tate, who remains deeply involved with its development and looks forward to further collaborations with Three Rivers Winery in the future.

In a November 2011 interview with Broward-Palm Beach New Times, Tate stated that he had always been a fan of wine. "I made my first batch of wine when I was 14," he revealed. "It was an experiment when I was in scouts to earn my merit badge. I kind of became fascinated with the whole chemistry aspect of it. The more I learned about it as I grew up, the more interested I became. About six years ago, I partnered up with Holly Turner out of Three Rivers Winery in Walla Walla, Washington, and we started making Insania brand. We released our third vintage last year in April. Two batches of white. Washington wines in the French Bordeaux style."

Tate's second solo album, "Kings & Thieves", will be released on November 6 via InsideOut Music.
